Lori Neal Bowman founded Bowman Strategies in 2019 to help nonprofits achieve their missions. Prior to that, Lori served for the past five years as Development and Community Relations Officer for Harold Hamm Diabetes Center at the University of Oklahoma where she was responsible for generating financial resources to support the center’s programming, raising awareness about diabetes and the center, building relationships in the community, and managing the center’s Board of Advisors. 

Prior to working at the diabetes center, Lori spent 10 years in Washington DC where she served as Director of Federal Government Affairs for Hospira, a Chicago-based generic pharmaceutical manufacturer.  Prior to Hospira, she was with Venn Strategies, a boutique lobbying firm, where she worked with a number of clients on health policy matters and, before that, she served as a health policy advisor for former United States Senator Blanche Lincoln of Arkansas.

Lori received her undergraduate degree with distinction from the University of Oklahoma and her master’s degree from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. 

While originally from Lawton, she currently lives in Oklahoma City with her husband, Jeffrey, and two children, Henry (13) and Kate (11). In April 2021, Lori was elected to the Oklahoma City Public Schools board, representing District 2. She also serves as Vice Chair.
